Tank Waterproofing
Membrane tanking for concrete tanks and containment structures — water held where it belongs, and the concrete protected on both sides.

One System, Built to Work Together.
Concrete tanks work under permanent hydrostatic pressure — from the water they hold, and often from the ground around them. Cracks, joints and pipe penetrations are where they fail, and once a tank is in service those points become very hard to reach.
Insutech tanks the external faces with fully bonded bitumen membranes, protects the system for backfill, and completes details around penetrations with coatings and reinforcement strips — one compatible package around the whole structure.

Layer by Layer.
- 01
Structure Preparation
Tank walls and base made good, with fillets at internal corners and penetrations sealed.
- 02
Bituminous Primer
Primed concrete guarantees adhesion under permanent hydrostatic load.
- 03
Membrane Tanking
SBS or APP membranes torch-applied fully bonded across walls, base and details.
- 04
Protection Layer
Protection boards shield the completed tanking from backfill and site works.
- 05
Backfill & Finishes
The protected structure is backfilled or finished, with the system sealed for its service life.
Sealed Under Pressure
Fully bonded membranes hold against permanent hydrostatic pressure from either side.
No Path Behind the System
Full adhesion means water cannot track between membrane and structure to find a weak point.
Built to Be Buried
Protected tanking survives backfill and stays serviceable where repairs are hardest.
One Package, Every Detail
Membranes, coatings and protection boards from one source keep the whole tank compatible.
