InsuUltra
Manufactured through a high-tech calendering process, Insuultra is built on a non-woven polyester carrier saturated and coated with APP polymer-modified bitumen compound.

Engineered for the job it protects.
Manufactured through a high-tech calendering process, Insuultra is built on a non-woven polyester carrier saturated and coated with APP polymer-modified bitumen compound. It delivers exceptional longitudinal tensile strength of 900 N/5cm, elongation at break of 50%, and cold temperature flexibility down to -15°C — the highest cold-climate performance within the INSUTECH APP range. With flow resistance up to 120°C and impact resistance of 1250 mm, Insuultra is engineered to perform across extreme temperature ranges and under demanding mechanical conditions. It is ideal for high-specification roofing systems, foundations, basements, podiums, tunnels, and wet areas in both hot and cold climates.
Installed using torch-on application, Insuultra bonds firmly to concrete, metal, and other prepared substrates to form a seamless, high-integrity waterproofing barrier. Its premium APP compound combines outstanding resistance to UV radiation, thermal ageing, and chemical exposure with a level of cold-climate flexibility uncommon in APP membranes, making it a uniquely versatile choice for projects spanning diverse environmental conditions. Available with surface finishes including colored slates, aluminum foil, sand, and polyethylene film, Insuultra is the top-of-range APP membrane for contractors and engineers who require maximum performance without compromise.
- Premium APP modified bitumen with 900 N/5cm tensile strength and cold flexibility down to -15°C
- Ultra-high-strength polyester reinforcement with impact resistance up to 1250 mm
- Outstanding UV, ageing, and heat resistance with flow resistance up to 120°C
- Suitable for high-specification roofing, foundations, podiums, tunnels, and wet areas
- Torch-on application for a seamless, maximum-performance waterproofing installation
The underside of the membrane is laminated with a thin, thermo-fusible polyethylene burn-off film to ensure efficient torch application and optimal adhesion. The membrane is available with a wide range of upper surface finishes, including multi-colored mineral slates, aluminum foil, sanded finishes, and polyethylene film.

Custom surface options and colors are available on request.

Application, Step by Step.
Clean the substrate of dust, debris and standing water, then repair any cracks or voids so the membrane can bond to a sound, even surface.
Apply a bituminous primer evenly across the whole surface and allow it to dry completely before any membrane work begins on the area.
Unroll and align the membrane on the primed surface, allowing the specified side and end overlaps before any bonding takes place.
Heat the burn-off film with a propane torch while progressively unrolling, pressing the membrane firmly onto the prepared substrate.
Torch and seal every overlap with a rounded trowel, checking each joint to achieve continuous, fully watertight seams across the surface.
Finish upstands, drains and penetrations with reinforcing details, then protect the membrane before backfilling, screeding or tiling.
