Blue Foam
Rigid blue XPS insulation board extruded at 29–31 kg/m³ — 0.033 W/mK thermal conductivity that cuts energy consumption across the building envelope.

Engineered for the job it protects.
Insutech BlueFoam is a rigid, blue Extruded Polystyrene Foam (XPS) board manufactured at a density of 29–31 kg/m³ through a continuous extrusion process. It is available in lapped or straight edge profiles to suit the application.
With a thermal conductivity of 0.033 W/mK, Insutech BlueFoam effectively reduces heat transfer through building envelopes, minimising reliance on air conditioning and heating systems — translating directly into lower electricity consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions.
- Reliable thermal insulation with 0.033 W/mK thermal conductivity
- Significantly reduces electricity consumption and energy operating costs
- Reduces CO₂ emissions through effective insulating performance
- Water absorption ≤0.7% by volume — resistant to moisture and damp ingress
- Prevents moisture infiltration in walls and ceilings
- Lightweight and easy to handle, bond, and install
- Available in flat edge or lapped overlap edge profiles

Application, Step by Step.
Remove dust, grease and loose particles from the substrate so the insulation boards can sit completely flush against the prepared surface.
Measure carefully and cut the BlueFoam boards to size with a sharp blade or hot wire, keeping edges square for tight, accurate joints.
Apply a compatible adhesive or fix mechanical fasteners appropriate to the substrate, following the specified coverage and spacing.
Position each board and press it firmly into place, butting boards tightly together and staggering the joints between rows for stability.
Close all joints and gaps with compatible tape or filler so the insulation layer forms one continuous, unbroken thermal envelope.
Apply the specified screed, render or cladding over the boards to protect the insulation and complete the build-up as designed.
