Swimming Pools
Waterproofing the pool shell before the finishes go on — fully bonded tanking that holds water for the life of the pool.

One System, Built to Work Together.
A swimming pool is a tank people live with every day. Leaks that show up at the tile line almost always started at the shell — which is why the structure is waterproofed first, as a structure, before any finish is applied.
Insutech tanks the pool shell with elastomeric SBS membranes and bituminous coatings, protects the system, and hands over a sealed shell ready for screeds and tiling — for ground pools, rooftop pools and water features alike.

Layer by Layer.
- 01
Shell Preparation
The concrete shell is made good, with fillets at corners and penetrations detailed first.
- 02
Bituminous Primer
Priming anchors the fully bonded system to walls and base.
- 03
Membrane Tanking
Elastomeric SBS membranes are applied fully bonded across the shell and up the walls.
- 04
Protection Layer
Protection screed or boards shield the tanking while finishing trades work in the pool.
- 05
Screeds & Tiling
Render, screed and tile finishes complete the pool over a sealed, protected shell.
Holds Water Permanently
The shell is sealed as a structure — not dependent on tiles and grout to stay watertight.
Flexes with the Structure
Elastomeric SBS membranes bridge shrinkage cracks and movement in the shell.
Ready for Any Finish
The protected build-up receives screeds, render and tiling without touching the membrane.
Rooftop-Pool Proven
The same tanking logic protects podium and rooftop pools where a leak reaches the floors below.
