Product Overview

Engineered for the job it protects.

Insuseal is a single-component, polymer-modified bituminous sealant designed for hot application into cracks in asphalt concrete pavements, concrete roads, and airport runways. Compliant with ASTM D6690 Type II requirements, it delivers a durable, flexible seal that effectively prevents water infiltration, resisting the freeze-thaw cycles, traffic loads, and UV exposure typical of demanding road environments.

Insuseal is supplied in solid form and melted in approved direct-fire or oil-jacketed applicators before being poured or injected into prepared cracks. The polymer modification ensures exceptional elasticity and resilience — allowing the sealant to flex with pavement movement without cracking or debonding — providing long-lasting waterproofing protection that significantly extends pavement service life and reduces maintenance costs.

Key Features

Installation

Application, Step by Step.

01 / 06
01Prepare the crack or joint

Rout or open narrow cracks where required, then clean thoroughly with compressed air — faces must be sound, dry and free of dust and loose particles.

02Melt the sealant

Heat the compound in an approved melter with continuous agitation to the 175–190°C application range. Never exceed the 218°C safe-heating limit.

03Pour or inject

Fill the crack from the bottom up in one continuous pass, slightly proud of the surface, so no air pockets remain.

04Tool the surface

Strike the sealant off level with the surrounding surface before the compound cools and stiffens.

05Cool and open to traffic

Allow the joint to cool fully; dust with fine sand where early trafficking is expected to prevent pick-up.
