InsuCoat Rubber Base
Formulated with a premium rubber-bitumen emulsion, INSUCOAT RB dries to a black, flexible protective film that acts as a tough barrier to water and vapor transmission.

Engineered for the job it protects.
Formulated with a premium rubber-bitumen emulsion, INSUCOAT RB dries to a black, flexible protective film that acts as a tough barrier to water and vapor transmission. Its excellent adhesion to concrete, steel, wood, brick, and other substrates — combined with its ability to be applied on damp surfaces — makes it a practical and economical solution for a variety of waterproofing challenges.
Cold-applied by brush, roller, or airless spray gun, INSUCOAT RB is environmentally friendly, non-hazardous, and non-flammable. Typically two to three coats are applied. A primer coat can be prepared on site by diluting the emulsion with 15–20% water, enabling seamless integration into the waterproofing system. Shelf life is up to 12 months when stored away from direct sunlight.
- Excellent adhesion to most building substrates (concrete, steel, wood, etc.)
- Applicable on damp surfaces
- Acts as a curing compound for concrete by retaining water
- Versatile with several economic benefits
- Cold applied
- Environmentally friendly, non-hazardous, and easily applied
- Non-flammable
- Resistance to attacks of salts and chemicals

Application, Step by Step.
Clean the surface of dust, oil and loose particles, then repair cracks and honeycombs so the coating bonds to a sound, stable substrate.
Stir the emulsion thoroughly before use to an even consistency, diluting the first coat only where the technical datasheet requires it.
Apply the first coat evenly by brush, roller or airless spray, working it well into the surface and around all details and corners.
Allow the first coat to dry completely — typically a few hours depending on temperature — before applying any of the following coats.
Apply the second and any further coats perpendicular to the previous one, respecting the coverage rates given in the technical datasheet.
Protect the finished coating from rain and mechanical damage until fully cured, and backfill or screed only after complete drying.
