InsuPrene H
Manufactured through a high-tech calendering process, Insuprene H is produced by saturating and coating a non-woven polyester carrier with SBS elastomer-modified bitumen compound.

Engineered for the job it protects.
Manufactured through a high-tech calendering process, Insuprene H is produced by saturating and coating a non-woven polyester carrier with SBS elastomer-modified bitumen compound. It achieves cold temperature flexibility down to -25°C and beyond, with a longitudinal tensile strength of 900 N/5cm, elongation at break of 50–55%, and impact resistance of up to 1250 mm — representing the peak of the INSUTECH SBS range. These technical properties make Insuprene H the preferred choice for projects subject to extreme freeze-thaw cycles, high mechanical stress, and dynamic structural movement. Suitable applications include high-demand roofing systems, below-grade foundations, tunnels, podiums, and infrastructure subject to severe environmental exposure.
Installed using torch-on application, Insuprene H bonds firmly to concrete, metal, and other prepared substrates, forming a seamless waterproofing layer with exceptional long-term durability. Its elite-grade SBS formulation maintains elasticity and structural integrity across the most extreme temperature ranges, ensuring waterproofing performance is sustained over the full life of the project. Available with surface finishes including colored slates, aluminum foil, sand, and polyethylene film, Insuprene H is the definitive solution for engineers and contractors who require the highest possible waterproofing performance in challenging climatic and structural conditions.
- Elite SBS elastomeric modified bitumen with cold temperature flexibility down to -25°C
- Maximum tensile strength of 900 N/5cm and impact resistance up to 1250 mm
- Unrivalled resistance to extreme freeze-thaw cycles, dynamic loads, and structural movement
- Suitable for the most demanding roofing, infrastructure, tunnel, and below-grade applications
- Torch-on application for a seamless, ultra-durable waterproofing installation
The underside of the membrane is laminated with a thin, thermo-fusible polyethylene burn-off film to ensure efficient torch application and optimal adhesion. The membrane is available with a wide range of upper surface finishes, including multi-colored mineral slates, aluminum foil, sanded finishes, and polyethylene film.

Custom surface options and colors are available on request.

Application, Step by Step.
Clean the substrate of dust, debris and standing water, then repair any cracks or voids so the membrane can bond to a sound, even surface.
Apply a bituminous primer evenly across the whole surface and allow it to dry completely before any membrane work begins on the area.
Unroll and align the membrane on the primed surface, allowing the specified side and end overlaps before any bonding takes place.
Heat the burn-off film with a propane torch while progressively unrolling, pressing the membrane firmly onto the prepared substrate.
Torch and seal every overlap with a rounded trowel, checking each joint to achieve continuous, fully watertight seams across the surface.
Finish upstands, drains and penetrations with reinforcing details, then protect the membrane before backfilling, screeding or tiling.
