InsuPoly
Manufactured through a high-tech calendering process, Insupoly is built on a non-woven polyester carrier saturated and coated with SBS elastomer-modified bitumen compound.

Engineered for the job it protects.
Manufactured through a high-tech calendering process, Insupoly is built on a non-woven polyester carrier saturated and coated with SBS elastomer-modified bitumen compound. Its cold temperature flexibility extends to -18°C, making it one of the most resilient options in the SBS range for climates with harsh winters or significant temperature swings. With a longitudinal tensile strength of 700 N/5cm and elongation at break of 35–40%, it effectively resists cracking and mechanical stress. Insupoly is well suited for flat and sloped roofs, foundations, basements, tunnels, wet areas, and slab-on-grade applications in regions subject to demanding thermal conditions.
Installed using torch-on application, Insupoly creates a strong, seamless bond with concrete, metal, and other prepared substrates. Its SBS elastomeric compound allows the membrane to flex and recover with structural movement, maintaining long-term waterproofing integrity without delamination or failure. Available in a range of surface finishes including colored slates, aluminum foil, sand, and polyethylene film, Insupoly is a high-performance, cold-climate SBS solution designed for projects requiring proven flexibility and durability in extreme environmental conditions.
- SBS elastomeric modified bitumen with cold temperature flexibility down to -18°C
- High-strength polyester reinforcement for superior mechanical durability
- Excellent resistance to thermal cycling, cracking, and structural movement
- Suitable for roofing, foundations, basements, tunnels, and cold-climate wet areas
- Torch-on application for a seamless, high-integrity waterproofing layer
The underside of the membrane is laminated with a thin, thermo-fusible polyethylene burn-off film to ensure efficient torch application and optimal adhesion. The membrane is available with a wide range of upper surface finishes, including multi-colored mineral slates, aluminum foil, sanded finishes, and polyethylene film.

Custom surface options and colors are available on request.

Application, Step by Step.
Clean the substrate of dust, debris and standing water, then repair any cracks or voids so the membrane can bond to a sound, even surface.
Apply a bituminous primer evenly across the whole surface and allow it to dry completely before any membrane work begins on the area.
Unroll and align the membrane on the primed surface, allowing the specified side and end overlaps before any bonding takes place.
Heat the burn-off film with a propane torch while progressively unrolling, pressing the membrane firmly onto the prepared substrate.
Torch and seal every overlap with a rounded trowel, checking each joint to achieve continuous, fully watertight seams across the surface.
Finish upstands, drains and penetrations with reinforcing details, then protect the membrane before backfilling, screeding or tiling.
