Product Overview

Engineered for the job it protects.

Produced through a high-tech calendering process, Insufort features a non-woven polyester carrier saturated and coated with APP polymer-modified bitumen. It delivers a longitudinal tensile strength of 800 N/5cm with 40% elongation at break, providing a robust waterproofing layer capable of withstanding high mechanical stress and substrate movement. Cold temperature flexibility down to -8°C and flow resistance up to 120°C make Insufort a reliable mid-to-high performance solution for a wide range of climatic conditions. It is suitable for flat and sloped roofs, foundations, basements, tunnels, wet areas, and slab-on-grade applications.

Insufort is applied using the torch-on method, creating a continuous and durable bond with concrete, metal, and other prepared surfaces. The APP modification ensures strong resistance to UV radiation, ageing, and thermal degradation, making it particularly effective in environments with intense sun exposure. Available with surface finishes including colored slates, aluminum foil, sand, and polyethylene film, Insufort is a dependable mid-to-high-grade APP membrane for projects requiring proven mechanical strength and lasting waterproofing integrity.

Installation

Application, Step by Step.

01 / 06
01Surface preparation

Clean the substrate of dust, debris and standing water, then repair any cracks or voids so the membrane can bond to a sound, even surface.

02Priming

Apply a bituminous primer evenly across the whole surface and allow it to dry completely before any membrane work begins on the area.

03Membrane positioning

Unroll and align the membrane on the primed surface, allowing the specified side and end overlaps before any bonding takes place.

04Torch-on application

Heat the burn-off film with a propane torch while progressively unrolling, pressing the membrane firmly onto the prepared substrate.

05Overlaps and sealing

Torch and seal every overlap with a rounded trowel, checking each joint to achieve continuous, fully watertight seams across the surface.

06Detailing and protection

Finish upstands, drains and penetrations with reinforcing details, then protect the membrane before backfilling, screeding or tiling.
