APP (Atactic Polypropylene) is a waterproofing membrane, developed from modified bitumen in addition to polymers.

The membranes either have fiberglass, polyester, or composite as reinforcement. This prevents the penetration of water into structures thereby eliminating leakages and moisture insulation. 

It is manufactured in a high-tech calendaring process, which involves the saturation and coating of a polyester carrier with an APP polymer-modified bitumen compound. The polymer additives are used to improve the thermal, chemical, and aging properties of the bitumen compound. Meanwhile, mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength, elongation, and tear resistance are boosted by the non-woven polyester carrier, which acts as a reinforcement to the product.

2- Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene Bitumen Membranes (SBS):

SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) rubber polymer, is a waterproofing membrane manufactured from modified bitumen with the addition of elastomers SBS rubber, is flexible and has the memory to return to its original form.

The addition of SBS rubber to Bitumen increases the flow characteristics and improves the flexibility of membranes in low-temperature, and fatigue resistance of roofing.

An elastomeric Modified Bitumen Membrane used for various waterproofing applications. It is manufactured in a high-tech calendaring process, which involves the saturation and coating of a polyester carrier with an SBS elastomer-modified bitumen compound.
